Name: Celia Nick: Ceil Resides: Indianapolis, IN , USA Diagnosed: March, 1998 Age at diagnosis: 62 Diagnosis & Treatment: Lumpectomy & radiation - 31 treatments. No nodes removed. Likes/Loves: I love God, my husband, our family, (all 10 grandkids) our friends and like going out to dinner, playing cards, reading, simple crafts, the computer and I can't forget the little ones that I provide child care. Dislikes/Hates: I dislike needles and hot flashes. I hate child molesters especially when the system fails and the molester still has shared custody of the children he molested. I don't normally think in terms of "hate" but this is really a big one! Personal comments: I also had thyroid cancer in October of '92 and have done very well with that one and expect to do the same with this. People have been very kind and very supportive and I feel so blessed for that and for the fact that I've had very controlable cancers. The first experience has made the second one a lot easier for my family and friends to handle as they felt there was no reason that I couldn't do it again. The first time I was treated in Nuclear Medicine and the first time I had to follow signs to the Cancer Center was a little unnerving as I really didn't want to belong in such a place.
