Nick:Katpa Resides:Lower Burrell, PA, USA Diagnosed:1993 Age at diagnosis:36 Diagnosis & Treatment: Diag. leiomiosarcoma of the small bowel. Surgery and MAID protocal. Mesna, Adriamycim, Ifosfomide, DTIC. Recurrence in Dec. 1997 (the day before my 41 birthday). More chemo-hospitalized for a week every three weeks. (4 rounds) Surgery and 4 more rounds of chemo. Finished treatment Aug 1998. Total of 9 surgeries since this all started. I don't have breast cancer like most of you but I do know the horrors of chemo. Likes/Loves: Simple things in life. Spring and Fall. Gardening and the outdoors. Sewing (I think this is a lost art) cross-stitch. Yard sales. and SHOPPING. Dislikes/Hates:na Personal comments: To be accepting the things I cannot change. I feel I had cancer for a reason. I hope to be able to let others know that you CAN go on after diagnosis.
